The embrace

She stood alone on the silver shore,
Beneath the sun's demanding light

Not the wind dared nor the sea moved
As if in reverence of her silent mind

Her unseeing eyes poured her vast journey
like diamonds polished bright

There was but one question in her heart,
"Aeons I have waited my love, Will you come tonight?"

She stood alone on the silver shore
under the dark shadows of the night

The sea kissed the shore with gleeful abandon
The stars danced on passionate hymns

Her eyes aflame with the love she sought
The universe a joyous cry

Her lips quivered with wonder as she said
"Aeons you waited for my embrace, as you walked by my side"

Maya

She walked on the pavement
Cold dust in her face
The autumn leaves swirled listlessly
With the desolation she felt

Life felt so empty,
no meaning to it all
a cruel twisted fate
slaved to an arid desert land

The seasons driven by passions
Like bright eclipsing stars
Technicolor dreams
on the wasteland dark

Sometimes, it all seems so pointless, the existence of humanity, our clinging to daily routines, desires, our passions
A sudden loss or going away of strong emotions creates a void that scars the soul, until another illusion comes along, of joy. Every single illusion is stronger, and more destructive...

The woman on the bridge

On the bridge across the river
stood a tall woman of might

She had blood on her hands
and a chill in her eyes

An ascetic calm grace
on a countenance so white

Her heart was of fire
Her blood was of ice

On the bridge across the river
stood a tall woman of might

She jumped off the wall
into the rivers' cold night

Tis said that even the dark warriors
the slayers of light

Have ever reached their end
Coz love was their plight

In one moment

Eternity; that moment before the storm;
Of anticipation, dread, and change

That single hesitation before the arrow leaves the bow
and that last thought that flickers in the eye, before it hits the heart

a Lifetime; That moment before the earth shatters into half;
of peace and acceptance and fate

That one in drawn breath before the world sets on fire
and that last hope of life, before it turns to dust

An entire life lived in one single moment.

Adrift

Adrift

I want to stop, but I know I never will

I want to pull back, but I keep trudging still

I'm petrified and alone, my mind overwhelmed
I want to float awhile, but I'm sinking myself in.

Two little lovers

Two little lovers sat on a wrought iron gate
He sang of her beauty
She sang about his strength

Two little lovers flew away to their nest
But one song of passion
Lingered on the moonlit fence

Perspective

I am a crooked mirror, I see you with a limp

I am a spotted mirror, I will show you all your kinks

I am a tinted mirror, you can see your grey in me

I am a perfect mirror, but only to me.

Of Dreams & Wishes...

I dream a little dream
of strange and beautiful lands

I wish a little wish
of knowing who I am

I pray a little prayer
that though I dream and wish real hard
May what's really True in me,
guide me gently with It's hand.

random

I gazed upon the mighty Earth, she looked a little blue
what ails u sweet child; I asked of her; is it that human flu?

That is when she hacked and coughed, her body racked with pain....
Dear father it doesnt go away...and you're the one to blame...
who told you to shine just so bright and nurture the evil human brain?

That is when I smiled and said, just some centuries more before you and I will be one...
There isnt a race yet born, that will survive in the Sun

Addicted

Don't want to wake up in the morning,I'm not prepared to face the day
My nerves are still frazzled by the stress of yesterday

No time for breakfast or tea, or healthy calories
I should stay at home, but I need the salary

That's when I see it(like every other day)
I tell myself I wont do it again,
That I'm addicted and it would hurt me in the end

my feet stop on their own, my nerves set up a clamor
you know what can sooth us babe, dont you want to feel better?

I argue for a second, but I know what I'm gonna do
I can't resist that pharmacy, it virtually glows

My mind chides me all along,but I walk up anyway,
I shove down the guilt and whisper "Ek cadbury dena please"
(English translation : A cadbury chocolate please)

Faith

I went a little crazy then, lost a bit of faith
Every time I had my chance
I threw it all away

And now I stand at an untouched place
The wind my body sways

All I have is this moment
The rest fades with the day

Princess in the tower...

They say I don't say too much, that my heart's sealed in a box,
I say I had the key to it once, but he burnt it down to dust;

They say I stay in a fortress, why don't you come down to play
I say I pulled 'em walls down once, but he stole everything away;

They say I have no feelings, why don't I see how life's so fair
I say look, look down dear friend, Someone's walked on them all the way;

They say why don't you fall in love, that love is here to stay,
I say I went there too once, but my baby walked away...

The stranger in the mirror

I looked at her and wondered,
transfixed by her eyes;

glowing with the soul of aeons,
the piercing impersonal light.

The face was just a mask I knew
of who she chose to be;

And as I stared I saw a glimpse
of the stranger that was me.

The trinket trader

His voice floated over the heated sand as I meandered through the jolly fair,

"Ive got red and yellow and orange and blue, Ive got beads and crystals in the deepest hues"; he said of his colorful wares.

My eyes took in the glass baubles, they seemed to set up a mighty hurray, a celebration of life and a careless reflection of the Sun's jaunty rays

Then I saw a stone in the clamor of colors, it sat there still in peace, it needed not to show borrowed shine, coz it knew what burned within.

"Name the price of this little stone";said I and the merchant gave a wary glance, and once more looked at me,

"A dying friend bequeathed it to me, but I have no use for stones of grey, a trinket trader like me..
You can take the rock if you keep it safe, and are you sure you wont buy a crystal bee?"

He who sells pretty glass things can tell not gems from stone;
and that is how I came to own a fiery diamond, of inestimable value for none
